The job duties of a paralegal in Orange County may be different from other people with the same job. Sometimes, it will depend on the area that the lawyer is focused on. There are many different aspects of law. These are family law, criminal law, constitutional law, corporate law and international law. Hence, the job is as varied as the branches there are in the law.

These people primarily work to assist the lawyer in all aspects of their career. One of them is the clerical aspect of their career. Lawyers are very busy people who must jug between clients and appearances in court hearings. The clerical side of their job is to be taken care of by these people. A job which offers general office support by performing the tasks that are expected of it.

The report prepared by this person should include interesting points in the interview which would serve as the guidelines for the attorney to formulate questions for the other party. Summarizing important documents and articles is also their job. Important information that involves a case should be jotted down by the person.

These people are also in charge of investigative work in the case. This could include verifying details like the place, time, date and the number of people that were present on the situation. The person will also have to collect evidence either by themselves or through the evidence gathered by the police.

They are also responsible for preparing the lawyer on trials. This means that he or she may handle important documents. He or she may be assigned to arrange the evidences, presentation and the notes made by the lawyer.

They are generally responsible to create the contract and let the client sign it. They are also tasked with explaining the terms in the contract in detail of which could be vague. They may be assigned to contact the clients to inform them about the status of their case and set appointments with the lawyer and the client.

Aside from doing the paperwork and the foot work. He is also required to attend the trials. He may offer support and advice to the lawyer about how the case is going. He is the point person with whom the lawyer will discuss his tactics and strategies.
